These shirts are orange and black in color to reflect the original color scheme of the American Pistol Institute. The API banner and globe on the back of the shirt are a testament to the worldwide legacy and reach of the teachings that originated with the API. The letters DVC stand for Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas. This is latin for accuracy, power, and speed, and was popularized by Colonel Cooper to be a shorthand for the goals of defensive shooting.

These shirts have been designed by the great grandchildren of Colonel Jeff Cooper and are intended to honor his legacy.
